At the end of Goodramgate, you come to this staircase leading up into Monk Bar, the strongest medieval defense tower along the city walls. The Richard III Museum is at the top of the steps, housed in the tower, and from here you can also walk the walls to Bootham Bar.

I take it a bar over there is NOT the same as a pub over here or vice versa. hahahaha
Ah, memories of walking around those walls - my calf muscles still look like a weightlifters!
I have not walked any of the walls in many years. Richard gets a better press in these parts.
