The photo of the benches I posted yesterday overlooks this public garden, which is off Peasholme Green opposite the Black Swan pub. The building in the foreground on the right is the School House Gallery which exhibits contemporary ceramics, and behind it is the Quilt Museum and Gallery. The garden was recently redesigned by the York Conservation Trust.

It does look like a school, even with the gardens to soften it.
Forget the gardens... how about a look at the Black Swan... and a pint. hahahaha
Good looking garden. Nobody has to mow the lawn. Love native grasses and all grass that grows taller than me.
What kind of plant are those pale gold grasses? Not something I see in any of the gardens here.
I think I'd enjoy visiting the ceramics and quilt galleries.
Birdman, I shall be posting a photo of the Black Swan soon!
Hilda, I'm afraid I'm not sure - I just know it's a variety of ornamental grass. Ornamental grasses are very popular in gardens here at the moment!
